Sprucing up the backyard: A patio transformation story!
Today we are taking you on a journey through a backyard makeover that turned a modest covered patio into a fantastic space for fun, friends, family, and food. Our clients, who love hosting friends & family, had a sizeable backyard yearning for a bit of pizzazz. They were on a mission to level up their outdoor entertainment game, and boy, did we deliver!
Picture this: a cozy covered patio that was a tad on the snug side. A small seating area and a lone grill held court, but our clients had grander aspirations. They dreamed of a spacious patio that seamlessly flowed with their home’s design as if it had been there from day one.
Challenge accepted! We embarked on a mission to extend their covered haven by a whopping 270 square feet. That’s right; we gave those patio dimensions a major boost! The new addition blended seamlessly with the existing structure, that even the house did a double take. With a sleek flat ceiling that matched the old porch’s vibe, it’s like these two areas were meant to be.
And who likes to be in the dark? Certainly not our clients! We peppered the new space with LED puck lights that practically danced in the night to keep the party going even after the sun sets. But what about these sweltering summer days? Fear not; we’ve got you covered…literally! Four oscillating fans were brought in to ensure a breezy atmosphere that rivals the coolest summer evening.
But wait, there’s more! We’ve got your lighting and cooking needs covered like a pro. Swanky outlet nestled in the soffits mean no more unsightly cords dangling down. Hang those twinkling lights with ease! And for our client who loves to grill & cook, we’ve plumbed a gas line straight to the heart of this outdoor haven.
Speaking of illumination, we continued beyond just lights. We’ve sprinkled floodlights around the yard, creating a charming connection between old and new spaces. Plus, these lights ensure your yard is as inviting as ever, even when the stars are stealing the show.
But hey, we’re still going! As if the covered area wasn’t impressive enough, we extended that concrete canvas further, adding a whopping 232 sq ft of open space. This versatile spot is ready for anything, from a lively game night to a future fire put extravaganza. Yep, you read that right – a gas line already in place, waiting for the moment they decide to turn up the heat! For us Texans, that is a short time in the year. ;)
We sprinkled a little more magic by installing a new LED puck light by the primary bedroom door. No more stumbling in the dark – elegance meets functionality, how we like it. And because we believe in the power of a serene bathroom, we swapped out those exhaust fans, giving the bathroom a breath of fresh air.
Our clients couldn’t be happier with the results, and neither could we! This transformed space is now a hub of joy, laughter, and memories to be made. We’re thrilled to have helped create an outdoor oasis that will be cherished for years. Cheers to new beginnings and fabulous transformations!
